France, People, Tourism Taking Pictures in Paris…

Paris is a wonderful city to anyone who wishes to practice photography. Firstly because there is a lot of things to see and to photograph (monuments, people, everyday scenes of life…) and secondly because my camera does not attract the attention of thieves. Most Parisians don’t even notice I am carrying a camera. And some of the people who actually noticed my camera didn’t take me for a tourist, but instead they thought I was a professional photographer. And then some of them asked me to take pictures of them:

Here is a drunk guy. He wanted me to take a picture of him. After I took the picture, we talked a little. He told me his story, but unfortunately, he was not coherent enough for me to fully understand. His name is Ramdane, he is a Kabyle from Algeria. As we were about to split, he advised me to beware of Argentinus, the god of the money.

As I was leaving a Starbuck’s Café, the crew asked me to take a picture of them.

Policemen were blocking the streets on 14th of July…

The entrance to Les Invalides. The original picture was over-exposed, that is that too much light was captured by the camera as it was taking the photo. I still don’t master this aspect of photography. I had to apply some modifications to the caracteristics of the pictures (contrast, colors, lightning, etc.) with a software of image editing.
